Our Approach to Nursery School:

The classroom layouts, the material and the curriculum are all carefully considered by the teachers in order to provide the best possible environment for young children. A thoughtful balance between learning objectives, social and emotional needs and quality playtime is evident throughout. “Structured flexibility” best describes the children’s time spent at CNS. Order in the day’s scheduling and planned environment increases a child’s security in him or herself and in the school. Yet great flexibility is allowed to recognize the need for each child’s individual pace, interests, and maturity level. Independence, through supportive guidance, is a continual goal.

Along with the typical routine, both off-site and in-house field trips are an integral aspect of the program. A “special event” is scheduled each month which provides even more opportunity for growth and discovery. Each day brings your child new opportunities to learn, grow and have fun
