In the good old days, “nursery school” meant a place to play and socialize with other children.  But, recent literature indicates that a child is never too young to begin the early steps to reading......and unlocking the keys to academic success.  Our staff at Community Nursery School have attended extensive training* on how to create literacy-rich classroom, and how to implement Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) in order to make sure your child will be READY TO READ upon entering Kindergarten.  The kids think it’s all play and fun, but everything has a purpose and a goal.
