Two year old children attend with a
parent or care-giver, once or twice a week for one hour. They will
gain the experience of being comfortable in a classroom setting,
with other children, with age-appropriate teacher instruction.
OBJECTIVES :

- Your child will have opportunity to
share, take turns and express themselves;
- Your child will experience gentle
instruction from qualified teacher;
- Your child will be exposed to books
through story;

create simple craft projects;
- Your child will be exposed to
developmental concepts, such as colors, body parts, spatial
relationships;
- Your child will have opportunity to
separate from parent or caregiver in carefully orchestrated
situations;
- Your child will have tons of fun!

After a “graduated
opening,“ which gently introduces the class, three year old children
will attend without parent for 2 ½ hours twice or three times a
week. They will gain independence and confidence, develop peer
socialization skills, and be exposed to a variety of literacy and
concept awareness activities.
OBJECTIVES:

- Your child will gain independence by
separating from parent;
- Your child will engage in cooperative
learning and play activities;
- Your child will learn to recognize
their name;
- Your child will develop fine motor
skills through various activities such as tracing, puzzles,
manipulatives and daily art projects;
- Your child will develop gross motor
skills by participating in both indoor and outdoor physical
activities;
- Your child will build their vocabulary
through finger play, songs, stories, circle time discussions, and
dramatic play;
- Your child will recognize attributes
of objects through matching and sorting activities;
- Your child will develop number and
spatial concepts;
- Your child will be exposed to various
sensory activities;
- Your child will identify shapes and
colors;
- Your child will follow simple
directions;
- Your child will develop a sense of
respect for others, for property and for themselves;
- Your child will develop cognitive
skills through simple problem solving activities, guessing games and
use of imagination;
- Your child will participate in special
event days such as “Teddy Bear Day,” “Circus Day,” “Silly Hat Day;”
- Your child will play and learn and
have fun with friends!

These 4 year old
children attend 3 hour classes either 3 times or 5 times a week.
Along with learning valuable social skills through structured “play”
activities, kindergarten readiness will be developed through
age-appropriate instruction in literacy and pre-academics.
OBJECTIVES:

- Your child will identify and write
their own names;
- Your child will recite popular nursery
rhymes;
- Your child will begin to recognize
words that rhyme;
- Your child will recite the days of the
week and the months of the year;
- Your child will develop phonemic
awareness by naming letters of the alphabet, their sounds, and
beginning word sounds;
- Your child will engage in various
pre-writing activities;
- Your child will develop math skills by
identifying numbers, counting both in sequence and through
one-to-one correspondence, and estimating;
- Your child will identify and construct
patterns;
- Your child will explore various
properties of science while investigating, making predictions, and
drawing conclusions;
- Your child will be able to sequence
events and arrange objects in order;
- Your child will determine how objects
are alike and identify opposites;
- Your child will participate in several
special event days such as “Pancake Day”, “Pajama Day”, “Pizza Day”,
and “Color Days.”
- Your child will participate in several
educational field trips throughout the year which coincide with the
curriculum;
- Your child will learn, love and have a
good time with their classroom “family.”
