How to Register.... Registration for enrollment to the Community Nursery School is on-going. Registration for the 2009-2010 school year is already being accepted. There will be an Open House Week the first week in February (2/2nd - 6th). During this week, perspective parents can come visit the classrooms and meet the teachers, anytime between 9:30am and 11:00am. Children are welcome too! Parents can call for an appointment, or just stop by. Then there shall be an Information Night on February 10th, 2009 at 7:00pm. A presentation shall be offered which explains the program at Community Nursery School. Prospective parents are free to ask any questions they may have, as well as peek in the classrooms (although class will not be in session). At the Information Night and during Open House Week (and any time thereafter), parents can officially register their child(ren). This requires completion of a simple registration form and payment of a $45 Registration Fee. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis (specific teacher requests can NOT be guaranteed). If a desired class is already full, the programs' director will maintain a Wait List. After the Open House, perspective parents are encouraged to call the program director (go to Contacting CNS) for an appointment to visit the program. In the Spring, parents will be notified of enrollment confirmation. A variety of forms will be sent for parents to fill out and return PRIOR to the start of the school year. A recent medical examination is required. Children must have their birthdays prior to December 1st to be eligible for the corresponding class (i.e. a child must be 3 before December 1st to enroll in a class for three year olds). Two year old children attend the CNSjr/Mommy & Me class accompanied by parent or other caregiver. Three and four year old children attend class on their own. THREE AND FOUR YEAR OLD CHILDREN MUST BE INDEPENDENT IN TOILETING SKILLS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SCHOOL YEAR! The Board of Directors reserve the right to cancel any class that does not fulfill minimum enrollment requirements. In such cases, parents will be notified as soon as possible, with the option of joining a comparable class (morning verses afternoon class) or given priority status on wait list.
